Cell phones were originally created for business use in the car, so bussinesses could have contact with employees on the road. Now cell phones have evolved having more things that can be done besides just talking on the phone. Talking while driving was bad enough, taking your eyes off the road even for a few seconds becuase you never know what is going to happen. For example if someone cuts in front of you sharply without any warning you have to react very fast, but what if that happens when your eyes are off the road, you won't know what is going on, and your life could be over in a matter of seconds. New cell phones, with texting and everthing else you have access to do like going on the internet, just adds to the possible danger if you use your phone while driving. Talking on cell phones while driving has become illegal in some states as law-enforcement officials are becoming aware of all the dangers they have caused already. Eight states including New York prohibit drivers of using handheld cell phones while driving, although no state bans all cell phone use, including handheld and hands-free.
i think texting while driving is very dangerous, but using a handsfree set to talk on the phone should still be allowed.
ReplyDeleteSomething else to consider are the other people driving. If you run into them because you were texting they will likely die as well.
ReplyDeleteI belive that texting and driving is stupid because you can wait a few minutes to text, you dont have to do it the very sec to answer it. And you are dangering your self an outher.
ReplyDeleteNice blog topic. I am interested to see your future posts. Maybe link a video.
ReplyDeleteI think people shouldnt even consider touching their cell phone when they are driving because they are not only risking their life but others.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good point that taking your eyes off the road for a few seconds is super dangerous.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why people would even think about taking there eyes off of the road. I cringe when my sister is driving and she tries to change the radio station. One time she tried texting and I slapped her hand so she dropped her phone...I didn't want to die.
ReplyDeleteI think texting while driving is awful and people shouldn't do it! People don't understand what could happen in a matter of seconds when they take their eyes off the road. Your not only putting yourself in danger, your putting other people in danger. I think people can wait to text someone back until their home. And if not, pull over!
ReplyDeleteTexting and driving is very dangerous, and those doing it aren't only risking their lives, but others as well. I think it's a good idea for states to out-law texting while driving.
ReplyDeleteI want a cell phone like that!
ReplyDeleteI think texting while driving is awful! Your life is more important than a text message and in seconds, your life can be over.
ReplyDeleteI liked all the different examples you used. It is true that being unfocused for just a few seconds, can end your life.
